AI for Teachers

What Will You Learn?

  • Explain in one sentence what the tool is actually doing when it answers, and work out in advance which parts of an answer will need checking.
  • Write a T.E.A.C.H. prompt for any class they teach, then fix a draft they do not like instead of starting over.
  • Go from a scheme of work to a week of lesson notes in one conversation, without retyping their class details every time.
  • Produce three levels of the same task that keep the same content and the same key words, and recognise a support version that has had the learning taken out of it.
  • Write question items, marking rubrics and feedback comments, and check every answer key against the textbook themselves.
  • Say where the line sits on marking: the tool can draft the wording, the teacher decides the grade.
  • Set rules for pupils that suit their age, and set work that AI on its own cannot finish.
  • Name what never goes into an AI tool, and put a six-line policy in front of the principal.
